This was an 8 days trip to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco with Thomas and Erik (from Kamchatka), 5 other guests (Peder, Jonas, Fred, Micke and Daniel) and two guides (Kristin and Mikke), in February 2004.

Yes, it's raining.

I've never seen a lathe like this one before.

Thomas (and all the rest of us) shopping for Berb caps.

Unfortunately, I lost track of this one while trying on others, so I think someone else bought it.

A snake charmer.

Erik gets to play with the snake too.

I payed far, far too much to get my shoes polished, even though I only payed a tenth of what he originally asked. But he got them to look as good as new, so it was worth it (and it really didn't cost that much anyway).

Daniel bought a kaftan.

Peder and Jonas (and most of us) bought kaftans too.

View from the hotel roof.

The three Berb wannabes inside the hotel.

The always present king is watching from the wall.

Kristin and Mikke, our guides.

A typical view inside the Medina.

Me, in a kaftan, outside the restaurant where we had our farewell dinner.

Dinner

Peder ordered something strange. There's meat in the middle, and a whole lot of sugar on the outside. We named it "köttsemla".

Thomas and Erik on the way home. The cab driver failed to find our hotel, so we got out and walked back home.

I bought two "puffs" and a table. I like how the legs of the table were carved out of one single piece of wood.
